Bob Weir's "Lightning Bolt"

This is an example of the blue "Lightning Bolt" Guitar that Rich built for Bob Weir while working at Modulus about 10 years ago, and has been one of his main stage instruments ever since.  This particular one (modeled by Rich himself) is a copy just recently finished for a customer.  This semi hollow body has a spruce top, quilted maple back and a flame maple core.  The neck is flame maple and graphite.  This guitar is available for order.

The finest knotty pine, bookmatched over an ultra-light swamp ash body, with a one-piece maple neck and 100-year old Brazilian rosewood fingerboard.

This one in the photos has a micro-thin nitrocellulose paintjob and tortoiseshell binding.
The neck and body are 100% hand-built in Rich's shop.

This guitar was just recently finished for Bob and is out touring with Furthur.  It has a swamp ash body and swap ash and graphite neck and a brazilian rosewood fingerboard.  It has a great vintage vibe and Bob's preferred electronics setup.
